With CLUMSY CODES, galerie burster presents a solo exhibition by Maria Schumacher exploring the interplay between analog painting and digital image production.

The grid serves as a central motif, connecting painterly gestures with digital structures, pixels, and repetition, while referencing craft traditions such as mosaics and cross-stitch. Schumacher combines digital image processes with traditional painting techniques, collage, and image transfer, transforming motifs through repetition, variation, and spontaneous intervention.
